The House

Dating back to the early 1800s Chlenry Farmhouse is a comfortable family home run by David and Ginny Wolseley Brinton. It is a large traditional Scottish farmhouse whitewashed and covered in ivy, standing in its own mature gardens in a private and peaceful glen.

Here you will find the tranquillity and a warm welcome from Ginny who offers three spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms (1 private and 1 shared) with enormous baths. They combine elegance with comfort and have fresh fruit and flowers to welcome you.

Chlenry Farmhouse has three charming bedrooms, 1 twin, 1 double and 1 double/twin.

There are two bathrooms, 1 private and 1 shared.

The views are lovely looking out over a quiet rural landscape. The sitting room is warm and comfortable with an open log fire and an ideal place to relax after a day exploring this hidden corner of Scotland.

Ginny is an accomplished cook and her breakfasts are hearty and filling. Continental breakfasts can be provided if you wish of course. Dinners are by special arrangement and are delicious and varied. Ginny enjoys cooking and takes great delight in preparing well thought out menus using local produce and game in season, all of which makes dining at Chlenry a memorable experience.

All around is history and heritage, wonderful gardens, numerous golf courses and country walks. These combined with lovely rural scenery make this part of Dumfries and Galloway an ideal holiday destination.
